Appearing on 'The Knick'

Recently I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Clive Owen and Steven Soderbergh in a scene from Episode 3 of the upcoming 2nd season of The Knick on Cinemax.

The second season is currently in production and will be released later this year.

Appeared on 'The Blacklist'

I’ve had small speaking roles on television in Australia and Japan before, as well as on several US daytime dramas.

But on Sunday February 1st, in the mid-season return episode airing immediately after the Super Bowl, I made my US prime-time network television debut in NBC’s drama The Blacklist…!

2014 in review - fatherhood is the new black

January 2014 saw the beginning of a new chapter in my life when my wife and I welcomed the arrival of our first child!

Our daughter Astrid has been keeping us busy, and so for most of 2014 I kept a slightly lower profile professionally than in the past.

However, I continued to audition […]

Rave reviews for 'Beauty Queen'

Our production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane at Shakespeare & Company has been received very well by the critics. Here’s what some of them have said about my work as Pato:

New York Times (Ben Brantley) – “a prospective lover, played by a first-rate David Sedgwick.”

Boston Globe (Don Aucoin) – “A hallmark of […]

I’ve just started rehearsals on my first production with Shakespeare & Company.

The Beauty Queen of Leeenane, the first play to bring Martin McDonagh to the world’s attention, stars Shakespeare & Company founding artistic director, Tina Packer, and is directed by Matthew Penn.

“Josie … is perfectly embodied by Claire Warden”; “her often drunken father, played by the wonderful Paul Carlin”; “James […]

‘A Moon for the Misbegotten’ at Luna Stage

I’m very excited to be working on my first full production of a Eugene O’Neill play; I’m currently rehearsing the iconic role of Jim Tyrone in this classic of the American canon.

Working with a wonderful cast and director; I can’t wait to open at Luna Stage in New Jersey on April 13th…!

Dialect coach on 'Speaking in Tongues'

I was very pleased to be asked again to act as dialect/accent coach for another Australian Made Entertainment production, Andrew Bovell’s haunting play Speaking in Tongues. This time the cast is small, only 4, and 3 of them are Aussies, so I helped the sole American blend in. Michael Poignand has done a great job, […]

Dialect coach on 'Savage in Limbo'

Continuing my new sideline in accent and dialect coaching, I’m very proud to be working on Dogface Theatrical’s inaugural production of Savage in Limbo. Who knew Australians like myself were such experts on Shanley-an Bronx accents? 🙂
